The East Division champion, Ephrata Post 429 squad, will host the double elimination District 10 American Legion playoffs beginning Thursday at War Memorial.  The squad however enter the tournament with heavy hearts after the sudden passing of Ephrata school teacher, Julie Crowther.

Crowther is the mother of assistant coach, Ryan Crowther. With three sons, she has been involved with everything Ephrata sports. From going to her sons games to handing out tickets at the War to coaching midget cheerleading; Crowther was a big part of the community.

The team dealing with the loss, decided to band together the next two games in honor of a teacher, mother, and fan. The team will put out a donation table for anybody who wishes to donate to the Crowther family during both of their upcoming home games. On Saturday, the donation table will be set up, along with a silent auction.

All the money raised will go to the Crowther family, who have decided to donate the proceeds to the Ephrata Public Library in honor of their mother.
