[VIDEO] Warwick Sinkhole Repaired

The sinkhole on Warwick's Grosh Field has been repaired.

A sinkhole formed on Warwick High School's turf field in early June after a heavy rainstorm. Today, crews were out putting some finishing touches on the repair job.











 To the left, you can see what it looked like in June; to the right you can see how it looks right now.
Lots of heavy equipment out there on the turf today; makes for some interesting video! It's posted after the jump.

[VIDEO] Local Woman Finds her Spartan Strength

A New Holland woman battles through the world's leading obstacle race. 

The world's leading obstacle race made a stop in Palmerton, Pennsylvania over the weekend. The Spartan Race brought out the big guns on this course at the Blue Mountain Ski Area - 5 miles of treacherous, hilly terrain filled with some intense obstacles.

[VIDEO] A New Holland Woman Hopes for Glory in the Spartan Race

New Holland's Tracey Brubaker will compete in the Spartan Race in Palmerton after months of training. 

The world's leading obstacle race series is making a stop in Pennsylvania. The Spartan Race taking ahold of Palmerton. The race offers obstacle races of varying distances and difficulties raning from 1 mile to marathon distances.

The race in PA is expected to draw in thousands of competitors from all over the world coming to answer this question: are you Spartan?


New Holland's Tracey Brubaker is accepting the challenge. The mom isn't afraid of getting a little dirty.  If you've seen the video, it doesn't look easy, but the training for the race isn't any easier.

The East Division champion, Ephrata Post 429 squad, will host the double elimination District 10 American Legion playoffs beginning Thursday at War Memorial.  The squad however enter the tournament with heavy hearts after the sudden passing of Ephrata school teacher, Julie Crowther.


Crowther is the mother of assistant coach, Ryan Crowther. With three sons, she has been involved with everything Ephrata sports. From going to her sons games to handing out tickets at the War to coaching midget cheerleading; Crowther was a big part of the community.

Ephrata Grad, Jeff Halligan, is a micro midget racer whose inspiration came from his own household.

They say racing is in your blood. If that is true, Jeff Halligan never had a choice.

Halligan, a recent Ephrata High School graduate, is a third generation Lancaster micro midget racer. His grandfather and father raced before him; and now his father is his main tool as he embarks on his own racing career.

One family in Ephrata has made refereeing a tradition.

We take an in-depth look at the Smith family from Ephrata, who are a family of soccer referees.

Oldest brother Brandon is a State referee who is quickly rising through the ranks. His younger brother Kyle is no stranger to accolades, either; he was awarded with national young male referee of the year for 2011.
