[VIDEO] Mounts Focus on a Larger Campaign

The Ephrata baseball team is raising money for "Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer" in honor of Linda Shelley.

Every year the Ephrata baseball team raises money to donate to a worthy cause. This season the Mounts chose the Ovations for the Cure of Ovarian Cancer organization; after Coach Adrian Shelley's mother, Linda Shelley, passed away from ovarian cancer in September 2011.

Linda was deeply involved in everything Ephrata sports- from starting the Women's lacrosse program to officiating field hockey and lacrosse for 30 years. Most importantly, always on hand to cheer her kids at most sporting events.

Ephrata will hold a T-Shirt sale at every home game until the last game of the season. The shirts are $15 with $10 of that going straight to Ovations. Furthermore, the Mounts, along with every section two team and Warwick, will wear the shirts during the pre-game workout to hope bring awareness to the cause- something that Coach Shelley says he thinks his mother would want.

Along with T-shirt purchases, donations are welcome. For more on how you can donate, and more on the story click here:
