DeVaughn Lee's Memorial Basketball Tournament Hopes to Send Kids to Camp [VIDEO]

A local basketball tournament hopes to send kids to camp in tribute to a local player.

The second annual DeVaughn Lee Memorial Basketball Tournament tipped off Friday, in hopes of sending local kids to a summer basketball camp.

This tournament is organized in tribute to DeVaughn Lee, who passed away in a tragic car accident last year. Lee always enjoyed playing at the summer camp at Alvernia College; and Lee's parents wanted to send kids to the same camp, in hopes that their dream of playing basketball can continue. That's where the tournament comes in.

On Saturday, local fifth and sixth grade teams played in a tournament, with Lee's Stepfather, John Terenchin, selecting the MVPs -which will then be given scholarships to attend the camp. Lee's parents hope to send four kids this year, and will use any donations they receive for the expenses.
