Ephrata Football Set to Hire New Coach

Eprhata School Board will vote to name Scott Shelley the new Ephrata football coach.

The campaign for a new football coach at Ephrata high school might be over. Today, Ephrata's Athletic Director, Tommy Long,  confirming Ephrata grad. Scott Shelley is the new coach, pending a school board vote.

Shelley is an Ephrata grad and a former defensive coordinator under Phil Kauffman at Cocalico.  He would replace Jim Vieland, who resigned at the end of last season.

The school board will vote on the matter on February 27.

Next season the Mounts will move down to Section 2.
