Vieland Resigns from Ephrata Football

Head Coach Jim Vieland has resigned as Ephrata Football's head coach.

Ephrata football coach, Jim Vieland resigned from his head coaching position Wednesday morning.

According to Ephrata's Athletic Director, Tommy Long, Vieland gave his letter of resignation at the end of the season meeting.

Vieland took the position on March 2008, after leaving his assistant coach position at Hempfield. In four seasons, Vieland coached two years in section 1 and two years in section 2 compiling a 5-35 overall record as the Mounts' head coach, 1-13 in section play.

Ephrata is set to shift back down to Section 2 for the 2012-13 cycle.
